The Second Amendment

The Sunset Pledge doesn't say much about The Second Amendment, primarily because it's been said so well, in so many ways, by many others. Of all of those, none say it so well as L. Neil Smith. His latest column in The Libertarian Enterprise sums it up and presents us with probably the most powerful "Sunset Question" of all:

What kind of twisted psychopath do you happen to be, Madame Mayor, Mr. Councilman, Commissioner, Legislator, Governor, Congressman, Senator, President, that you'd rather see a woman raped in an alley, and strangled with her own pantyhose, than see her with a gun in her hand?
Ask this question of every politician and "public servant" you face.
