In Response to the "Jay Leno" Letter

This letter appeared in my In-Box. What follows is my response.

I love my country. We have the finest form of Government on Earth. America, great as she is, should be a shining beacon of Liberty to the world, as she once was. The clowns currently running the show, ALL of them, need to get back on task or be fired. King George and Queen Nancy Pelosi are two sides of the same coin.

Big Government and Big Media work together to keep us in a state of fear. The only difference between CNN and FOX are the bogeymen they uphold as the reason for Big Government to take more of our income to pay for more of their schemes.

I fear greatly for this land of ours. 1984 has truly arrived, for us to claim freedom to travel in the days of the TSA, the Patriot Act, and the push for Real ID, to claim social and religious freedom after the travesties at Waco and Ruby Ridge, to claim our government can protect us, just days after 32 disarmed victims were gunned down on a college campus where only the outlaw had a gun. George Orwell's Ministry of Truth could have written this letter.

The United States was established as a Republic, not an Empire. Empires didn't work out too well for the Romans or the Germans, or for anybody in-between, since the U.S. Government is the only one claiming the title today.

Every Federal employee, from King George down, took an oath to defend and protect the U.S. Constitution. When they violate that oath, chaos follows. It's time to stand up and insist they get back to the job we gave them, instead of meddling in every aspect of our lives.

I've taken "The Sunset Pledge"

A Long Train of Abuses and Usurpations

This list of links is inspired by Thomas Jefferson.
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient Causes; and accordingly all Experience hath shewn, that Mankind are more disposed to suffer, while Evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the Forms to which they are accustomed.

But when a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a Design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their Right, it is their Duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future Security.

Such has been the patient Sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the Necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government.
...
To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid World.

Thomas Jefferson
The Declaration of Independence

We don't need to alter our system of government. We need to return it to the duties assigned by the Constitution. This list is documentation of the poor job our elected employes have been doing of sticking to their assigned tasks.
